Add a FiVi Map to your Website or Blog

It’s pretty easy to add a link anywhere on the web to a FiVi Map you have created on FiVi.com.  Whether you are an avid blogger about sports, a running or cycling club, or just want to highlight your escapades outdoors – you can just post a link anywhere on the web to show your readers where you are threading these days.  Just go to FiVi.com pull up a map you created or any route you see that you want to post as a link.  Look at the URL in the address bar (at the top of the browser) and just note what path ID is for whatever particular route you want to link to.  Copy and paste this link below:

http://www.fivi.com/fiviMap.xhtml?pathId=16

wherever you want your FiVi map to show up and enter the ID number for your corresponding map.  In the case of the link above, path ID=16 is the Jacqueline Onassis Reservoir.  Just change the number to your map’s ID.  Samething if you want to embed the link like so Jacqueline Onassis Reservoir.  And that’s it!  You now have a link to your favorite routes and you can showcase them anywhere on the web!

Soon enough we’ll have a much easier way to get the URL but as there are only 24 hours in the day, we have to be selective on what we focus our development talents on.  Promise that a more user friendly way to post a link to your favorite routes is on it’s way very soon.  If you have any questions you can always just shoot me a note on www.fivi.com. and I promise to walk you through it.
